I’ve been plotting up another project. A knitting one. I need to pick 6 – 10 colours in addition to a background colour. Think flowers and butterflies and vines. Narrowing down colours is tricky though. Do I want to go with bold colours, a wide range of colours, a narrower wedge of the colour spectrum, cool colours, warm colours, autumny colours. So many decisions to make. And the number of colours to choose from doesn’t help.
I mean, look at all these blues
and greens
and purples, wines, reds
and brighter reds to autumn reds
Even the background choice is hard. At first I thought grey. But have only narrowed it down to three greys. Then again, depending on the type of colour scheme I go with for the foreground, perhaps a more natural colour background would be better. Especially if I decided on an autumn look project.
So, if it were something you were making for yourself. What sort of colour scheme would you lean towards. I’d be interested to see if you have an easier job narrowing it down than I am. Plus, maybe your preferences will help me pick mine
